describe two technical skills you've gained

now i think i have a very basic understanding of photoshop and why it uses layers and i have also learnt how the image can be manipulated pretty easily and how you can make easy changes to improve/ alter the image. Previously i sucked at this even more than i do now.

Describe two challenges you've overcome

During this task i have learnt that product research is importent and that the ad should configure with the ASA guidelines otherwise it can be banned. My ad would have featured in magazines and it was an unknown brand therefore advertising would be very importent, therefore it has to follow the guidelines.

do you feel the product is sutible for the target audience?

Yes and i think my questionaire results back this up because they believe the ad is suitable for 20-40 year old women. However it could have been a little more complex. The ad ended up being on a white background and the text was done in pastel purple and pinks for summer. i think the background could have been more intresting.

How has technology helped you turn your product into a real design?

By using technology i was able to compose this advert. I used a computer and the internet to research the product and then found an image i wanted to use and used photoshop to change and alter the shoe as well as adding text and another image. I did not use a digital camera as i took the image from the internet.

How does your finished product compare to your design?

My finished product is very different to my block design. Initially i planned to advertise a sandle but ended up doing an advert for a heel because sandals were very difficult to find adverts for and do research and also a heel is a lot easier to manipulate on photoshop, and just easier to advertise for

Does the advert conform to the ASA CAP codes?

I think my advert fits the CAP codes used by the ASA because it isn’t misleading. I doesn’t make claims that are not true. I don’t believe it could be seen as offensive and it doesn’t discriminate.

Magazine question results

Target audience.

The target audience for my magazine would be women aged from 25-50 who have a general intrest in fashion. They would probably be in the earning bracket of £25,000 upwards because the featured clothing is likely to be expensive., also the magazine is £3.55 monthly. They are most likely to be women who are modern and settled in their lives.
